There isnt anything wrong with my engine, it runs super, but Im wondering that if anything did happen to it would a 97 4.6 Cadillac Nothstar fit right in and work in my 97 Aurora? Ive read where they used a smaller bore to get the 4.6 down to 4.0 for the Aurora so the engine is the same size and would fit but what about the computer. Ive run a couple of searches and cant find anything on this kind of swap. Has anyone else read anything about it or can direct me to a site that has info. I like to plain ahead so If the unexpected happens you have an ideal of what you will do.

This was covered rather extensively in a veerrrry long thread on GM Forums. The general opinion on the entire conversion was "not worth the cost involved". Some claimed it was a direct bolt-up, but only the computer had to be changed. Others said the computer swap would result in other functions of the car not operating. One guy said that even though the trans is Caddy the bolt pattern was different to the block. Another guy insisted he had seen it done, but they essentially had to gut the car for it to work. The real acid test here is the fact that if it were possible, money not withstanding, and still retain the features on the car, you would see SOME online at least.

some parts can swap over such as cams, heads, pretty much everything but to do a swap its going to take alot cause there are electrical things that can go wrong, www.chrfab.com ask the tech guy on this webside and he'll give you some better info.
