always wondered...Soyo 02-05-2004, 12:05 AM I've always been curious as to why the intake for 240's are also made to go across the front of the engine to bring in air on the dirvers side when th throttle is on the opposite side, is there any reason for this? I'm sure there is or they wouldn't make them like that huh? don't kno what made me think this up but I figured someone would know stealthj 02-05-2004, 12:10 AM i think its stupid so what did my friend do? move his battery to the back, cut a hole, short ram cold air :) Soyo 02-05-2004, 12:42 AM thats what I would have done if I had a 240, why make the air turn into the pipes, turn again, then turn again into the throttle, doesn't seem as free flowing as it should be, plus its extra piping added into an already small engine bay :) Chuki_breath 02-05-2004, 01:17 AM the only thing i can think of is the battery might block some air flow and the fan shroud is also kinda close...so they decided to wrap all away around to the empty corner over there. y not just switch where the battery and current air box are????.... i dont really know y it is the way it is... thats just a thought off the top of my head. it would be interesting to know y though J_Spec_NiTeMaRe 02-05-2004, 03:14 AM designers make things a certain way for economy, not performance. at least in the 240. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
