When the injectors don't click is when to get excited. Some are just more noisy than others and temperature has some effect. If you're not experiencing any driveability problems and this annoys you, perhaps turn the radio up a little.

If it sounds loud enough to be mistaken for a rod knock, you might want to have someone else (professional) listen to it.

For example many of the late model 3.1 and 3.4 have problems with the intake gasket leaking water. Sometimes to the outside, sometimes to the inside. If you get antifreeze into the oil, it can wipe the bearings.

It is difficult to access the injectors on this engine, but if you can get to them, you can listen to them with a screwdriver, hose, or a mechanics stethescope.

There are products (injector cleaner/conditioner) that claim to help quiet noisy injectors, but I have no personal experience or knowledge of how well they work. Spraying carb cleaner into the intake will not help what you're describing.
