JGTC 300zx???1viadrft 02-04-2004, 06:51 PM When was last time the Fairlady/300zx was in JGTC? Just curious. Thanks guys! VQuick 02-06-2004, 02:03 PM Good question. I don't know if Nissan actually used them or not. I personally haven't seen one. The GT-Rs had the GT500 class covered, and the Silvias were used for GT300. I guess there could have been some privateers who used the Fairlady Z. digitalbanzai 02-07-2004, 02:05 PM The FedEx 300ZX LM was the works Nissan in the 1994-95 JGTC They looked like this with FedEx badging and Japanese flags http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Queen/9757/mcargallery/MC1.jpg 1viadrft 02-09-2004, 11:29 AM The FedEx 300ZX LM was the works Nissan in the 1994-95 JGTC They looked like this with FedEx badging and Japanese flags http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Queen/9757/mcargallery/MC1.jpg Cool... thanks! Layla's Keeper 02-09-2004, 01:17 PM Actually, the 300ZX you posted pics of was a competitor in ACO Le Mans racing, scoring the first overall victory for a GTS class car at the 24hours of Daytona. It was a factory effort campaigned by Steve Millen, long time stalwart of Nissan Z's and several time IMSA and SCCA champion. Here's a picture colllage of the #76 car. The team cars were numbered #75 and #74. In 1992, these cars took the IMSA GTS championship. http://www.johnnyoconnell.com/images/previous/300zx_04.jpg And as an interesting sidenote, here's the Nissan factory GTU entry for the same years; the KA24 powered Nissan 240SX, which took the 1992 IMSA GTU championship. http://www.kspeed.com/0b5bab20.jpg digitalbanzai 02-15-2004, 01:49 PM Right, but as I had said, the one I posted is not the same exact car as the JGTC car, however the JGTC car was the same 300ZX-GTS from IMSA, with FedEx sponsoring and Japanese drivers, though the color was the same red white and blue livery. I'm struggling to find a picture of it though, when i search all i can find is Gran Turismo 2, where the car appeared :p We are talking 94 and 95, the JGTC's first two seasons, where it was GT1 and GT2 before GT500 and GT300 ;) I believe vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
