I just bought a 1996 GTP, it has the 215hp 3.4 liter in it. I was just wondering if you could yank off that factory manifold and slap on one of those superchargers off the 1997+ 3.8 liters engines.

Well you could do it, but it certainly wouldnt be as easy "slapping one of those superchargers on there" there would be a need for MANY custom parts, and you would need to upgrade the internals of your engine and your transmission.

You would be better off doing a complete L67 engine/transaxle swap.

I must agree with the above. The LQ1 (3.4 DOHC) is a 60 degree engine, while the L36 and L67 (3.8 N/A and 3.8 S/C) are 90 degree engines. The intake on the LQ1 is completely different than either of the 3.8 engines. There are several performance options out there for the 3.4, including forced induction. Take a look at http://60degreev6.com
