Every time i start my car it shuts back off i keep trying and after a while it will start but it is taking longer each time.Can any help :banghead:

Ok, well we will have to start off by knowing what it is that you drive. As well as engine in the car, auto or standard? Mods?

1989 Honda Civic DX 1.6l

engine control relay is faulty.(not sure on overseas models where it is,sorry).

you can start with a with the basics ..., check your main relay . then ingnition compents ( mainly the ignition coil ) then move on to your fuel pressure. .. if the problem is still undetected.. try a compression test.. does the car start better when it is already warm?...or is it only happening when it is cold?... pull out a spark plug .. what colour is it?
does your car have a rough idle when it does start?

Do you actually think he still has the car after 10 months.
