Damaged headlight, rain water a problem? Parmenides3 02-01-2004, 10:07 PM
Just before I bought a '92 Tercel, the owner had a little accident. To secure and orient one of the headlights, I had to run the main screw into a different spot. The headlight is now properly oriented, but the space around the headlight (where the metal is buckled because of the wreck) allows water to run in behind the light when I drive in rain. Will this be a problem? Parmenides3 :uhoh: turcelbo 03-16-2004, 01:32 AM Yeah it could cause a problem with your electrical components. It could short out and blow your light and soon after that it will be a cronic problem. Parmenides3 03-16-2004, 05:33 AM Thanks. Could I fix it by gunning regular silicon caulk around it? I can't think of what else to do, because the metal is deformed from the accident. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
