I need to take out my factory radio and replace it. I don't want to take it to a dealer because of cost. How do I start? How do you get the dash off or apart? Please, any help will be appreciated. I'm a 22 yr old girl college student and don't know much about these things. I need to save money!!!!!! and detailed instructions.......

Consider getting the manual for about $15 at Autozone which covers everthing about your car. First of all, a warning that it can be frustrating to do all this especially putting the trim piece back(the hardest part), so be warned. Anyway, you need to tilt the steering wheel down first. Then you can grasp the trim piece covering the radio and pull it out. Pry at the corners first, I think it has 4 clips all around. Once you got it out you should disconnect the battery. Remove the bolts holding the bracket of the radio (8mm I think). Once you got the radio out you can disconnect the cables. You probably need a new mounting bracket for your new radio+wire adaptor+antenna cable adaptor. You get them free if you order from Crutchfieled plus free instructions. You could also get the bracket+adaptors from Walmart. Once you got the radio out, the bracket instructions will tell you the rest.
