anyone heard of cry02?? Zwrangler 02-01-2004, 03:14 PM
hi everyone, This new product just came on the market here and its called cry02. from what i read on the net it basically dramatically cools the air going into the engine to give a boost in horsepower which is similar to the boost you could get from a shot of NOS. Have any of you guys tried it or seen it? and what do you think of it as an alternative for Nos? cheers. Chevyracincamaro 02-01-2004, 03:36 PM i think that if its just supposed to cool the air coming in and not boost the combustion energy its a waste. the chemical is just gonna take up space in the air that its cooling so its not gonna get any more air than normal Zwrangler 02-01-2004, 03:47 PM I found more info on this site http://www.extremev6racing.com/cry02.html just wanted to know if its worth looking into getting it or not and what kinda results it gave anyone out there who's used it. Chevyracincamaro 02-01-2004, 04:00 PM oh now i see how it works...i suppose it could work. kindof the same principle as a fogger on an intercooler, only no chance of c02 gettin in the engine. i could see it being worth having, i dont know about the price. if its not too expensive i could see it being an alternative to nos if you dont want to destroy your engine. Zwrangler 02-02-2004, 03:56 AM exactly. I figure cry02 might be less wear and tear on my engine than nos in the long run. but still waiting to hear from someone who's actually tried the stuff. comp 02-02-2004, 10:03 AM if you spray on a (metal) cold air intake pipe it can drop intake temp some, (non-boosted) i think the Alcohol injection is the way to go on a N/A set-up... if you have a intercooler i'd use!!!!!! my :2cents: Chevyracincamaro 02-02-2004, 04:35 PM i dig the concept though. and you could actually make it fit to any intake cause you dont have to spray it. it would be truely awsome if it was liquid nitrogen, but then the engine bay would freeze so maybe not... PowerCrazy 02-02-2004, 05:31 PM does anybody know how much it costs? i went to that link but couldn't find a price. it seems like a cool idea that in theory would work pretty well. Chevyracincamaro 02-02-2004, 07:56 PM i went to the dei site and they didnt have a price either...said it was brand new so you prolly gotta contact em for the price... Zwrangler 02-03-2004, 02:20 AM I think its somewhere around $350 U.S.D., not sure but i think i remember seeing it at around that price somewhere down_south_kustoms 02-10-2007, 12:39 PM if you guys want to know a lil more about cry02 here you go you can get it in 5-10 lbs bottles with all the hard ware for around 520 to 550 bucks i have 3 people in my car club that runs it including me it gives you good bottom end . you can get it about half prize if you are sponsored so if you that is somthing you want to look in to write me and maybe i can help you . down_south_kustoms@yahoo.com CamarosRsweet94 02-10-2007, 12:58 PM Wow, nice job bringing up a super old thread bud :thumbsdow philly rs 02-10-2007, 03:25 PM yeah man, anything this old is waaaaaaaay out of date. when u read threads, it helps to look at the date of the last person who posted it, or the date on the thread itself. that way u dont get people being assholes toward u and giving u the bird via internet lol. its a mistake though i see u are new to our site..... u can always make links to old threads so those interested in what u are talking about can go back and check it out but its best to make a new thread, just looking out for u man...by the welcome to our humble home. need a lock on this thread ...
