'92 elantra fuel pump bluesbjr23 01-31-2004, 10:11 PM The car sat for about six months and went to start it and wound up replacing the fuel pump filter also replaced. It ran pretty good then sat for 2 months. Now no fuel. Used the F/pump test wire nothing, then went right to the wire going to top of the tank, yellow wire I believe, nothing coming out at the fuel filter. There is power going to the pump but nothing. I don't have the two hundred for anther fuel pump and this post is my last hope for the car. I have a pressure guage hooked up to the fuel filter and there is no pressure. Do fuel pumps have this short of life? Fuel tank is full. bjr23 :) tibby01 01-31-2004, 10:20 PM bad gas maybe. that can clog things. bjr23 02-01-2004, 06:48 AM After giving it some thought. Is there a more bullet proof method of attaching the wires to the pump. They just slide on and I was wondering if anyone recomends soldering, maybe. Or is there somekind of jelly of somekind for corrosion protection? I am hoping to save the car but no more money for new fuel pumps. bjr23 lowsonoma1999 02-02-2004, 08:33 AM Isn't there a warranty on the pump from where you bought it. Most places have at least a one year warranty, if not a lifetime warranty on the part itself. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
