I have recently purchased a 1997 chevy lumina and overall like the vehicle. I never thought about the little gadgets attached to the keys for keyless entry not working. I read some of the posts already about programming. I think I have the capability on the vehicle because I do notice the security light when I first get in the vehicle.
Could someone tell me since i changed the batteries and that still doesnt work what do I do now? Take it to the chevrolet place to have them reprogram this? I dont understand all the technical terms on the vehicles. I've never owned a one with keyless entry, but have been told it is wonderful. Would appreciate any help.
Is there a simple 3 step process or complicated and I would be better off taking it to the repair shop?
