check engine lightroadworrier 01-29-2004, 01:11 PM My "check engine" light is on. I finally got it diagnosed at Ford as being the downstream O2 sensor (and maybe some wires) and they're charging an arm and a leg to replace the sensor and say they think that will fix it. Anybody have any ideas of something else that I might try? The car runs great, at least so far, but I hate driving around with a warning light on. Thanks. pod 02-04-2004, 10:30 AM this old trick works when you get a fake light just unplug the battery for an hour mabe less then drive it for a week if the light goes back on replace the o2 sensor vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
