went and started my van yesterday morning, started ok, rev'ed it once to get it to idle ok because it was very cold outside. rev'ed it a second time then as soon as i released the gas pedal the engine just died, like the gas supply was shut off. things i checked: 1) turned ingition switch till the dummy lights came on to listen for the fuel pump to energize and i could hear that fine, the fuel pump was replaced just over a year ago. 2) disconnected the fuel line from the throttle body injector and then turned the key to start and gas came shooting out with no hesitation. 3) reconnected the fuel line back up and tried to start the motor while observing the throttle body injectors with the air filter assembly off to see if the injectors would spray into the unit, after turning the key no spray. not even a little trickle, nothing, like they were shut off.
My questions are: could the tbj assembly be bad or is it possible that the ECM unit is faulty since it controls the tbj's? any help would be greatly appreciated!

i've got a similar problem. When it doesn't start, there's no gas at the injectors AND there's no spark at the plugs. Cleaned up connections at the distributor while checking the coil and pickup coil and all was fine for a few weeks then back to the problem. Won't start if shut down after driving for a while and the odd stall at idle (after which it often won't start for a few minutes to hours). Gonna take out the distributor and clean things up and look at the wires. If you figure it out in the meantime, please let me know!!?
