No Bus!?! What the h3ll is th@t!?!

On my way to work today, I was driving slow, cause its really snowy, so i was going about 30-40mph and my air bag light came on. mhmm... ok..
then it turned off, then on and it stayed on. I Looked at my Odomiter and it said No Bus. okay, whatever.. so I thought it was electrical and pulled over. I turned the car off and started, and this time my gauges were not working.. rest of the car is fine.. and my check engine light was on. I was like ok whatever, so I shut it off, tuned it back on and drove off, it was ok for a second the check engine light came on, then all the gauges turned to zero and it said no bus again! what the hell, plus the air back light turns on and off. any Ideas anyone?

You've got instrument cluster problems. It communicates with other modules over the "BUS", and these modules cannot see the cluster!!

Strange, get this resolution... I took it to a dodge place, well after talking to other car repair shops they said the same thing, not as detailed as you said, but same"yea, your gonna need a new inst. cluster" . So off I went to the Salvage place, 80$ out of a 96 Breeze.. I get it home, and lo and behold, it was KPH. So I took it to my regular 25/hour repair guy (hey as long as its fixed, right?) and he swapped it.. as soon as he hooked it up the problem still stayed, so hes like "I really dont do electrical probs, but ill run the tool to it" here came the codes! around 8 in all, from Cat. converter to fuel injection.. So it seemed to be a computer problem. Now we are at where I take it to the certified dodge place.. after 3 hours, he came back out and said that its the cluster. well i already told him that I had one in the back.. so he swapped it out, 2 hours later he says that he got it working but it NEEDS further diagnostics, if I wanted to do it now or later... well after 5 hours of waiting and being hungery, i said ill make an appt next week.. then when I got home it was fine and dandy(he even changed the KPH to the MPH..awsome!), then the check eng. light came on the day after... so I was like ok gotta make that appt(sure enough , my next drive to work, no bus, intermittent, but all the time).. so when Im looking in the phone book, there was a dodge place closer than where I took it before(the other place wan an hour away, this one in town) so i took it to the local place, told him my prob. and he said ok hell fix it.. so I come back after its done and he tells me... now get this " I cant find a problem, youll have to come back when its doing it" It was doing it when I pulled into the place!! he didnt even do a test drive.. he said that he cleared the codes and tested all the wires.. all ok.. so as soon as i pulled off to go work(130$ later), about 30 feet down the road.. BAM! no bus. great.. whatever, im late for work. so its off and on, then it was jsut the check engine light. I was just about to call the other place I went to, (he at least fixed the problem) when the check engine light dissapeared.... wierd... hasnt been on since.. no other problems since.. totally strange but hey its been a few weeks since so whatever happened was awsome.. (about $260 later) its fixed... I hope (knock on wood)
