I went down to the local watering hole for a beer last night and came across a Silver S55 AMG. What an amazing car! Just sitting there parked it makes such an impression. Quality, performance and total CLASS. Very impressive car. I think the price tag is somewhere around 100K if I'm not mistaken.

Today i watched a black S55 AMG do a 2 footed stomping on a new Acura RSX type s, it was the best sounding mercedes iv'e heard.

Definitely, the car has a tremendous presence. I'm not always impressed with newer iterations of cars, but I feel the 2000+ S-Class is a great hit. The W126 may be the most elegant S-Class ever and the W140's are extremely imposing if not tanklike, but the current generation is undoubtedly a most worthy and tasteful successor. The Sport Package or the S55 AMG version improves an already great-looking car.

About a month ago I was driving late at night on the Baltimore Beltway, going about 85. There wasn't a lot of traffic, and I rolled past a Glacier White S55 which was loafing along at maybe 75 mph. Even at night, the car looked stunning, especially with the nice HID headlights. A minute after I passed him and thought I had left him behind, I see the guy absolutely rocket past, probably going 95-100. I still don't understand the reason behind his dramatic change in driving style, but it sure looked impressive to see the big car streaking down the highway. WOW!!
