brakes on a del solb16a3sol 12-26-2001, 08:10 PM recently my car chose to start making a tapping noise by the wheel. i investigated it and decided that there is something trapped between the brake rotor and the shield on the back side of the rotor. my question is if i take off the caliper without doing anything to it other than moving it to take the rotor off to remove whatever is rattling, will i need to bleed the brakes when i am done? or, can i simply move the caliper aside, remove the rotor then replace everything and call it a day? thanks for the help. 91zc 12-26-2001, 08:20 PM You will only need to bleed the brakes if you remove the lines and allow air to get into the system.:) b16a3sol 12-28-2001, 11:23 PM thats what i thought too, but my manual told me bleeding the system was part of the removal and installation, so i decided i better check. thanks for the help. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
