How good do resenators work???Projectcivic96 01-21-2004, 07:26 PM I got a 96 neon sport coupe. My vibrant muffler just took a shit on me not too long ago and its put up with 4 years of me beating the shit out of it so i figure hell with the muffler.I took it off and just left it.Its really really loud sounds sweet till about 3 and half grand and then it just screams and is very very raspy.I was just wondering if i had some piping bent like 2.5 and had a resonator welded in would that one resenator get rid of most the raspieness.Pardon the spelling i aint to good with it.I'd preciate all the help.THanks Scatch! 01-30-2004, 07:01 PM I think the resonator would work really well for your purposes. Remember that the SRT-4 has no muffler, only a resonator. Of course, it also has a turbo to knock some of the noise down... Anyway, I think it depends greatly on the size of the resonator, whether or not the raspiness will go away. I would think (but am not certain) that a larger resonator would work better for you. If you try it, tell us how well it worked. I'm interested too, because my muffler is gettng pretty ratty. carpunk 01-30-2004, 07:34 PM if your looking for a resonator they have them for about 45-50 bucks on www.modernperformance.com Projectcivic96 01-30-2004, 11:09 PM Ya thats where i was planning on getting the resonator if i do plan to get one.If any one has one please respond and let me know how good they work.thanks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
