what heads for my 4.3, 87 TBI Rocky in KC 01-19-2004, 01:09 PM
with out spending a kazillion dollars--what are the best heads for my 87, 4.3-is it the 92 thru 95--it will not have any emmsions to contend with--but want to keep the TBI, I am going to go aftermarket intake--thanks,R Fox_Rocks 01-20-2004, 08:37 PM i think best bang for the buck is to take your origional heads and get them ported and polished, maybe even get them plained to obtain a higher compression ratio. Aftermarket intake is something i'm looking into, Edlebrock makes a real nice one. Rocky in KC 01-22-2004, 12:58 PM first--thanks for the reply--afraid I may not any--being a newbie to the 4.3 (not motors) I have been doing a lot of reading--it looks like 94/95 heads with the 30 degree angle are some good bolt ons??? These are going into our off road buggy--with no ommissions to contend with--Also I wanted to keep the TBI--so we can run at different elevations, with out alot of tunning---- What would be the minimum computer requirments be for somthing not running any emmissions--but keeping the TBI--I understand, they sell a adjustable mass senser??--is this true--R Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
