Heater Motor Resistor - Location

I hope that one of you mechanics can help me. This is a Chevy Prizm question. My car is a 2001. It only has high heater motor fan speed for the heater. I went to my Toyota dealer yesterday (as three Chevy dealers did not have the part in stock) and bought a new resistor. I bought a Haynes manual which covers both Prizm's and Corolla's. I have taken apart the entire passenger side compartment and the center console including the radio. Anyway, the Haynes manual shows the resistor right next to the heater motor fan. It is not there! Has the resistor been relocated on a 2001? Is a Prizm possibly in a different location than a Corolla? I located two parts that were held in place by two screws. They turned out to be circuit boards. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am out of work so I am trying to save money by doing the job myself.
