'62 v6 to v8 conversionjcnunn 01-17-2004, 05:10 PM We are the proud owners of an all original 1062 GMC pickup, which has a 305 V6 powerplant with a 4 on the floor. We are planning to install a 350 with a 400 auto trans. Are we going to have to chgange the front cross member??? GMC 910 04-05-2004, 07:59 AM hey there. stovebolt.com has all the knowledge in the world for old chev & GM's. I know that you need to have 2 of the same motor mounts. One of the origional 6 cyl motor mounts and another the same. If you need help those fine people will help.
