Hey People, Does anyone have tips, or experiance doing a tune up job on a s10 4 banger 2200? It looks troubling, and how bout a PCV install--EZ or tough? Thanks for your help. Dezmar 01-20-2004, 02:21 PM I looked for two hours and cant find the pcv valve---HELP! mjohn 01-20-2004, 03:11 PM go to: Search this Forum, Top of this page on this Web Site... and put in: PCV + 4 cyl. (hit search) SloppyShot 03-07-2004, 08:57 PM I cant find the pcv valve also ne1 know where it is? 1999 S-10 2.2 SloppyShot 03-31-2004, 07:55 PM I still haven't found a pcv valve on my truck. Anyone know? krueskrewer 04-29-2004, 12:32 PM nope and good luck with plugs n wires www451oa 04-30-2004, 10:09 PM Most, PCV Valves are located on the valve cover. And are VERY easy to change. They slide right in and out. Try following your vaccume lines, one of them will lead to the pcv valve. Terry1 07-21-2004, 07:39 AM Apparently this forum is not designed for answering simple questions like, where is that PCV valve? www451oa 07-22-2004, 12:19 AM I've got a 94' 4.3L V6, My PCV valve is located on the Passenger side valve cover, dead center on the top of the valve cover. To change takes less than a minute. But that's my truck, obivously a 00' 4 banger is a different engine, so I can't tell you for sure. From what I've seen on other engines, it's always on/near the top of the engine. chris2000s10 07-22-2004, 10:14 AM Apparently this forum is not designed for answering simple questions like, where is that PCV valve? it is right behind the "black box" that says 2200 that attaches to your TB. two clamps and one 10mm bolt hold it on... the pcv valve actuall connects its vacuum hose to the back side of this box smokey041369 07-22-2004, 04:52 PM on the 2.2 if you have the flat valve cover with a hose hooked into the rear pointing to the driver side and on to the front pointing to the passenger side the one in the front is your pcv valve Terry1 07-23-2004, 07:08 AM it is right behind the "black box" that says 2200 that attaches to your TB. two clamps and one 10mm bolt hold it on... the pcv valve actuall connects its vacuum hose to the back side of this box Thank you very much. I wasabout to give up and throw the valve away. Thanks for the quick response. This turned into a major mystery to the mechanics in my area. Terry1 smokey041369 07-23-2004, 03:42 PM if a mechanic doesn't know where that pcv is maybe you should sell the info to them. glad i could help you Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
