i have a 97 tbird and i believe a have a short in the turn signal but im not sure where. the right flasher works fine when the turn is not all the way up, but when it gets latched into place it blinks rapidly. the bulb has already been replaced and i have checked the fuse. im not completely sure where the flasher unit is. also my hazards dont work either. fuse for that is fine too. can anyone help me figure out whats wrong?
also was wondering how much stock hp the 4.6 has in the 97 tbird and what kind of mods would be best to help boost that.

It's a bad multi-function switch. Occasionally the same thing will happen to me. Also my high beam flashers don't work.
Many people run into problems with the multi-function switch. If you replace it, all problems should be fixed.

the 1997 4.6L engine was rated at 205 HP.
see your other post for info on how to increase HP.
