powerstroke - talking to the computer?cykryn 01-15-2004, 12:05 PM what does it take to talk with a powerstroke computer, I wont to read codes; what does someone need? ModMech 01-21-2004, 11:02 AM Well, if it's an OBD-II compliant vehicle ('96 up) you need a code scanner. I use, and reccomend a laptop/PC based unit by www.obd-2.com. For about $125 and a laptop you can get codes from ANY '96 up Ford product, and some '95s. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
