Anybody know about this, maybe it was an option to not get the green/gold interior. Mine is all Gold leather. It also does not have the red color Orvis badge on the front doors. It is a metalic green on the exterior just like an Orvis. Please help it has been a great Jeep for me but it is time for me to sell it and I just want to give the right information to the new owner.

I have the same option, my Vin # indicates an Orvis Edition but there is no indication from looking at the vehicle that it's an Orvis. Mine is silver/gold with the dark brown leather.

Orvis Edition Grand Cherokees were only offered in 95 and 97. A few were sold in the official color of "Light Driftwood Satin Glow". In 95 they had dark brown seats and in 97 they had light brown seats. Johneich's must be a Driftwood that's been repainted. If it was a "Moss Green" and was repainted and the badges left off, it would still have the green seats. My green one is still running strong at 203,000 miles.

I hope they didn't wait around 5 years for you to reply.

Reekor privately emailed me that no Orvis editions were ever painted any other color other than the moss green ones. Enclosed are three photos of a 1997 "Light Driftwood" Orvis edition of which there are very few. They have the same green seats like the green ones which do look decent together. This Orvis is 99% stock as the owner has replaced the original gold snowflake rims with 5.9 Limited rims from the 1998 5.9 Limited. I've also enclosed a picture of the 1997 green Orvis which has the proper rims. Also, I think I'm wrong about a second color Orvis in 1995 and apparently there were 2000 or so green Orvis' in 1996 as well. For all you Orvis fanatics out there, www.jeeporvis.com (http://www.jeeporvis.com) has the specs, pictures and production numbers for all three years.
