Choke opens only half way? lowmileage 01-14-2004, 03:04 PM
I have a '85 with the 2.8 POS engine. I just rebuilt the carb but must have screwed up something putting it back together. I have the electric choke connected to the linkage for the "butterfly." When cold, the choke is shut but it is impossible for the butterfly to open 100 % even when warm/hot? I can't even open it manually. I don't have the electric choke spring tension too tight, so it isn't that. The secondary pull off bracket seems to block the choke linkage but the pull-off can only go on one way. Any ideas :screwy: greenlawnjeeper 01-07-2005, 09:30 AM I have a '85 with the 2.8 POS engine. I just rebuilt the carb but must have screwed up something putting it back together.
