:banghead: I just got my !995 Jeep Grand Cherokee threw my divorce and the radio isn't working properly . It stopped working over a year ago and started again 2 months ago . Now that I have it the radio seems to come on only when it wants to ! The radio shows the time and station even if it's not working . I was just wondering if the antena could be bad and gets in a stuck mode and gets jarred lose and thats why it's not playing all the time ? Any hepl would be appreciated . Thanks in advance .

I had the same problem with my 93, for me it was a totally bizzarre situation,

in my situation the display would still work, but the power antenna would retract and the radio would stop working signalling a power failure from the 12 v. constant

but that wasn't the case

after much tinkering and general F**cking around it turned out to be an internal grounding problem in the radio itself

so i ripped it out and threw this in

Take Brian's advice, trash the radio! I have had 5 Chrysler products, 3 Jepps and not one radio was any good. Get a real radio and you will be much better off.
