If you were gonna buy a c4 style vette which would you get? No zr1 cause they cost to much to fix. This would be a daily driven car that would see a lot of time in traffic. Which year has the most hp? WHat model? Is it available in auto? TIA

Good evening i am going to be biased because well i think the 1984's are one of the best bang for the buck vettes and here is why
1. They weigh the least of all c4 corvettes
2. They have 50/50 weight distrubution
3. They have an ungodly amount of torque at low rpms 2800rpms=290ft-lbs
4. They can pull a full lateral G on the skid pad when its the Z51 suspension (the only other "stock" corvette to pull off this feat is the 2001+ z06)
5. They can use cheap unleaded gas 85 or 87 octane so they are cheaper to "fill up"
6. They still get 20-25 mpg on the freeway at 70mph
7. The engine is very easy to work, you can change the alternator in about 10 minutes,
8. You don't have to worry about replacing eight injectors as they age so its much cheaper as far as maintance costs go
9. Its a lot cheaper on insurance as well
10. For being 20 years old it still has a failry modern look
11. You can win just about any canyon carving contest against your friends
12. You can own one for less than 6000 dollars

and finally you can buy mine here is one picture

OK no offense but i should have been more clear. Im looking for a newer c4 at least 93 or newer. Im not looking for a older 80's one cause the bumpers, wheels look a lil dated. I want a tpi set up. Also another reason being older ones usualy have more miles, more wear on bushings, rear end and etc.

I'll say '96!The Grand Sports & Collector's Edition's are the ones I like. I was at an auction & the vette I now have rolled through - got her for a CHEAP price. Now I've been debeating on whether to sell it or not, it's just too nice to drive - main reason 50% of the people don't belong on the road.
Check out my pic's for if interested send me a PM - car is located in near chicago.
Very low miles - no rain or snow
*Mint condition
Minimal aftermarket parts - Exhaust(B&B), K&N filter, & dimpled rotors(not sure of brand came with purchase)
Avg. 2nd-3rd place @ car shows - two first place awards - trophy's not included.
