engine swap tipsuk_zak 01-09-2004, 05:46 AM first of all, hi guys! ive been lurking around here for a while now and learned shiiiiteloads. ive got a few questions that some of you might be able to help me on. first of all i own an accent. its nice and all, but id like it to pack a bit more of a punch, so engineswap springs to mind. i could relatively easily and cheaply get hold of a 2.0 16v engine and gearbox to replace my current one. now, what do i have to look at when buying a used engine? is it even possible to fit that into a hyundai accent coupe si? how hard is it? has anyone here done it before and what problems did you run into. also more importantly what else would i have to upgrade with the engine? bmtphoenix 01-09-2004, 11:22 AM Check out www.hyundaiperformance.com. You'll find a lot more comprehensive help there. And BTW, there's no such thing as an Accent Si. uk_zak 01-09-2004, 11:38 AM thanks for the link. i just found the website and there really is a great deal of info to be absorbed. ps. heres a pic of my car. its a bit dirty, but you might be interested http://www.nird.btinternet.co.uk/accent.jpg tibby01 01-09-2004, 12:33 PM uk_zak 01-09-2004, 12:37 PM im currently working my way through the hybrid forum secion. should take a few days to get through all the topics. these links are GOLD :d bmtphoenix 01-09-2004, 07:59 PM im currently working my way through the hybrid forum secion. should take a few days to get through all the topics. these links are GOLD :d Ahhh...UK...oops.
