I looked over it, its not too bad. Maybe its the ignorant peoples statements(imports and domestics) that get on my nerves, so I just notice them and remember them more. I know there are a lot of asses in civics(also integras, saturns, eclipses... they can appear in any form) thinking theyre hot shit with their cut springs, altezzas and 30 inch wings, even guys with nice cars can still get on my nerves because sometimes theyre even more cocky. a buddy of mine has a 97 Cobra Mustang: Procharger supercharger, 75 shot of nitrous (mostly for awe) full interior with sound system, monitor and dvd player, running 11 sec. 1/4's on street tires. his daily driver: a 98 Toyota Camery on 18's with sound system and performance bolt ons...never says a word either way about imports/domestics. we actually spend about equal time talking about both. in all honesty were just wasting our time. this arguement varies so greatly from car to car that its just not worth it...

i had a similar experience with a 98 eclipse gs that was turbo'ed, cept i beat him by a bumper....i was still in utter shock, hearing that turbo spool freaked the hell outta me........scared me too cus i had a chick in the car

It's not the car people drive that make them a prick, it's the person themself. I have some friends with GT's and some are cool as hell, and some that I wouldn't mind never speaking to again. Same goes for Civic drivers. Anybody who talks shit is a waste of my time to associate with. I just look at my car as an expensive way to have fun, it's not sewn into my persona.

As for the post, I don't think most of those people understand the hard work and dedication put into Hondas to make them go fast. GT/Cobra drivers buy their cars with some decent #'s from the dealer.. big whoopity doo. If they knew what it takes to mold a 140hp engine swap into a 400whp monster, more of them would probably appreciate it, but some would still make the "it's still just a Civic" remark because of the ignorant assholes they really are. I drive an integra I would like to have a 03 cobra I believe with enough work a integra can beat the cobra but it will be a lot different from 300lbs of torque stock from the cobra. They are 2 cars, yes a $40k car can beat a $20k 80% of the time and the other 20% of the time the $20k car has another $10k worth of mods to bet the better car. Oh btw the way the new stangs handle Im not sure you will take them in the corners. And very little you can do with a civic will feel like 300lb of stock torque even if you can beat it..

Umm, you'd be suprised what you can do to a Civic. 300lb of torque is 300 torque no matter if it's stock or not. Especially if that 300lb of torque is on a 1000 pound lighter car.

Well it's kind of like this...the 'average' mustang will beat the 'average' civic...and that's just how it's going to be...even though every now and then a civic comes along that will tear the hell out of a mustang...mustang owners aren't going to change their whole perspective on their cars just because of one or two civics beating them into the ground.

Only thing cool about the story is that the mustang owner was stupid enough to lose 200 bucks.. At the end of the day the kid is still driving home a civic. Plus low 13's aren't that impressive for a 400HP civic.. The 03 Cobras run high 12's-low 13's with 390 stock.. A cobra with 400 or more whp would be much faster than that civic..

Try racing an 03.. People always point out that hondas are more effiecent and all that crap, but they aren't in this case... 400whp should make that civic a lot faster than whats being told... Theres an integra LS in the area boosting around 275whp and he is in the 12's.. just doesn't make sense..

The only reason a 400hp Civic wouldn't be running 11's is because it's not on slicks or if the driver has a cruddy launch.
