95Z Temp gauge gremlinjimmyZ 01-05-2004, 11:22 PM Recently bought a 95Z LTD, 4.0. THe temp gauge did not work so I put in a new sensor. Still the gauge would not move. Checked fluids the other day and left the radiator cap loose, ( forgot ) drove up to the store and the gauge started to move 120,180,220,260, steam came out . Put water in and tightened the cap this time. Drove around neighborhood no over heating, but gauge still only reads 100,as it did before changing sensor, never had much hot air out of heater richpinkham 01-06-2004, 07:00 PM Put a new thermostate in, If it has one it is not working properly and see if that fixes your temp prolbem. At less than$10.00 its a cheap thing to check. At this time of year it may not be warming up enough to move the gauge or run the heater. jimmyZ 01-06-2004, 07:14 PM Good call rich, had a 160, also noticed some dripping ( maybe left over from yesterday ) it still has enought coolant to survive a couple of days. 18 deg blowing snow and frezzing rain no garage. only thing ill be driving is my Gran Turismo....
