My 89 4.0 L fuel injected Jeep Cherokee starts fine when cold. I am able to run it for about 15 minutes and when it reaches normal operating temp stalls and will not start again until it cools down. I have a 6 month remanu engine, one year old radiator. I am stumped. The disb, coil and all check out fine. Any ideas? I have also engine starter spray in and it starts when warm but dies within 5 minutes. XJnick 01-03-2004, 06:15 PM Hi, From your info above, it sounds as though the fuel system is being shut off, which in turn causes the engine to die. The fuel system is controlled through the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This means that a bad sensor is most likely giving the ECU bad info which causes it to freak out and disable the fuel system. Common sensors to check when stalling occurs: > Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) > Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) > Oxygen Sensor (02) > Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) Hope that helps :D -Nick sfguyer 01-03-2004, 06:39 PM My 89 4.0 L fuel injected Jeep Cherokee starts fine when cold.
