Not sure what to do. it seems like at 55-85mph the speedometer is flickering. some of the lights in the dash blink. mainly the break light. It also has had the power just cut out for just long enough to shut the radio off and then its back on. it seems to be getting worse as it seems to be affecting the rpm gauge.

here is the lowdown on the truck
1994 gmc extracab 1500
5.0l v8 throttle body.
2wd automatic with air.
stock suspension motor and tranny.
149k miles.

cat is original and makes a tinny noise when hit. muffler needs to be changed as it is original and makes noise aswell.

recent changes.
fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, starter and flex plate (flex plate because i thought it was cracked when it was the starter gear spring had broke and the gear was just flopping against the flex plate. so the tranny was unbolted and slid back.) and i just replaced the wiper pulse board last night so the wipers work properly now.

you might not want to hear this but, I had that problem with a 92 3\4 ton 454 and the 4l80e tranny it was the distributer arcing out or somthing to that affect. The arc was so bad it was causing the tranny to jump in and out of overdrive, the speedo to jump and finished off almost ALL the sensors (knock, temp, metal temp,tps,...) It also finished off the ecm as well. After replacing the distributer it ran great
