Hey all. I'm new here. Don't know much about cars..but I do know this..I love my 85 Camaro. I was just wondering if anyone had any specs on a 1985 305 V8 Camaro? Like top speed, 0-60 time and stuff like that?

And..what could I do (thats cheap) to get the car to accelerate faster? I have a performance chip, just havn't put it in yet. What else could I do thats not costly to get better performance? (Newbie terms please lol)

Thanks!!
JC

What kind of induction do you have. Carb, TPI, TBI?? This is must have info. Other than engine mods and computer chips, you can figure out a way to bring more air into your intake, that'll always help. A flowmaster 80series muffler will help, and sound great too. Oh..and what exactly is cheap to you?? I don't want to give you cheap for me that might not be for you. And as for specs..I don't know if it has top spead or 0-60 times, but http://www.camarosource.ca is a basic camaro encyclopedia.

If it's used how do you know it's good? You can buy the 3.73 gears for brand new for 150 bucks. But you can't use your stock carrier, it's only a 2 serries carrier. So you have to get one of them too. And if your wanting posi, then your gonna pay more. For a good used carrier with gears I would say 300 bucks. Unless you find a good deal. And I would check them out before I paid for them.

I don't think life in prison is worth losing 50 bucks for some gears. Did you take your meds today?
