Stalling question yet again.....marathoner 12-29-2003, 02:00 PM Hello all....I'm brand new to this so bare with me. I have a 95 JGCV6 and my main problem is that my car wants to stall but it doesn't. I just replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, dist cap and rotor and recently got some carb cleaner and clean where the throttle body. I would be driving great at 60mph and then when I get to a light and put my foot on the brake the rpm would go down to zero and then it would jump back up but the engine doesn't die. I think it's an electrical problem and can you reset a car computer by just disconnecting the battery. Can it also be the TPS sensor? Can anyone help? Thanks a bunch! tdenkler 12-30-2003, 12:01 AM sounds like bad IAC motor(idle air) sits on throttle body. 01Silver 01-09-2004, 11:19 AM try cleaning the IAC valve...It is the black plastic attachment on the throttle body closest to the valve cover. There is a wire harness plugged into it. It requires a torx 20 (pretty sure) screw driver to remove it. Just be careful not to tear the rubber O-ring when taking it out. Just use a little TB cleaner and wipe it of with a rag. If this doesnt work, you might need a new one. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
