I have a 99 acura integra gsr (b18c1 vtec) and this cocky guy at work has a celica. He always says how his car could kick the living crap out of mine. All he has is apexi n1 exaust and its a manual. Mine is a manual also and I have a greddy intake manifold, tokiriko intake, aerospeed exaust, skunk2 cam gears, clutchmaster stage 3 clutch, spitfire igntion wires and spark plugs, and nitto extreme tires are my performance items. He swears on this like its true, but other people at my work have been saying its true also. Its annoying the F@#$ out of me cuz i dont know if its really true. Can i have any and all opinions and facts on this.

Your car is rated at 170HP, and the Celica, if it is a GTS, is 180HP I think, so he's got you there. But with your list of mods, you should beat him. If he's so sure he'll win, put some big $ on the line, then hand him his ass. Then when he doesn't pay up, take his driver's seat and steering wheel as payment. :lol:

ur car is almost all urethane? explain please. the numbers you stated may be true for flywheel measurements. my roommate has the GTS. it is a quick car. although both cars are very similar, you do have the advantage if the mods listed are true. hit those shifts! you should win by about 1.5 cars.

ok its not all urethane but its fiberglass, carbon fiber and urethane. urethane body kit(front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper), urethane m5 front fenders, urethane ferrari rear fenders, fiberglass spoiler, carbon fiber hood. The only thing stock is the roof and trunk.

i hate newer celicas too...there girl cars. Actually the doors are stock but i have lambo hinges and the ferrari fenders go onto the doors so the doors have molded fiberglass on them to look like a smooth transition from the fender to the doors. But im sorry to say no im actually getting the rear fenders molded and door handles shaved for the final touch before i paint the car. My uncles a manager at a body shop and is doing that and a pearlescent paint job from metalic blue to metalic purple/blue (si purple/blue) for $1,000 dollars so i said shit do it today. I just took it in but i also found out it will take two weeks to do cuz he just went on vacation...oh well i have my si to drive meanwhile.

it's refering to the pressure the turbo is putting on ur engine
a stock grs motor should handle 8-9 psi easy, but 20 is gonna blow it up unless u got some serious internal beefing up :nono:
as far as psi for without a turbo, it should be the same for all cars N\A at sea level 1 atm or 14.7 psi

Actually they wont handle that easily stock, thats the MAX seeing as how the high compression can cause some problems. Id probly only go with 8 if I had an intercooler, no intercooler Id go with 7. Also the highest pump gas I have over here is 91.

I think you are talking about sleeving the block. Replacing the cylinder sleeves with stronger material. That is only part of the strenghteniong you will need for 20 psi. In your motor you will need all new internals: Forged Rods and pistons (lower the compression) for starters. Not to mention fuel and electronics upgrades.
