I have had long discussions about this with people like Ecosse, but have had little help from them! However, I met a guy with a quiksilver who had done this, Dropped 35 mm all round, With 16's.

He had to do some minor work on the arches, (The plastic bit on the rear bumper needed to go) but apart from that it was fine. Skinnier tyres you can get the better, then work up a size at a time was also his suggestion.

If you need body work done tho, I would suggest R-Tec in St Albans who have done mine, I only have 16's, but decided it would be better. I get no scrubbage at all dropped 45 mm, he was getting a little.

Hope this helps

Hey,
New to thsi forum! i got a 2002 106 quiksilver other day and want to put 16" aloys on it and lower it about 40mm. Do u get any problems with rubbing? I see u said there is minor work to be done when fitting these aloys. When u say minor how minor mate and is it costly. Thanks
