is the 3000gt ok for drag?

guys...

ive got a 1999 3000gt.. and i wana race this car... Is it fast and powerful for drag racing??? and can i set up this car to make it more strnger?? please help!! help!

well, It is a bit heavy, and unless it's a VR4, not exceptionally powerfull.
You would be better off with a smaller car if you want to get serious about it.
Like any other motorsport, it is at least 50% driver skill and knowing your car. you can beat a "faster" car by being a better driver, so I would practice driving before worrting about making your car faster.

does that stop anyone with a bone stock civic from drag racing?
if it's not a vr4, it's not worth it...
they weigh a ton as it is, and without the awd and turbos, you're going to be damn slow...

If I'm not mistaken the 3000GT is basically the same under the sheet metal as a Stealth. I've run an RT with more mods than my car, and just under 700hp. He had serous trans problems after he found a clutch that would hold. He broke 3 that I know of within 1 year.

the SL has enuf power to push it...lolz..
i think the VR4 has serious power but weighs i little bit toooo much. i suggest the VR4 for drag...
