Ticking noise under the dash.Zazoos1 12-22-2003, 07:50 PM Hello All, I have a ticking noise under the dash, drivers side. It is really annoying. Any thoughts on the culprit would be appreciated. 2000 Dodge Durango Regards, Trent 95pathfinder 12-27-2003, 07:28 PM I have a 95 Nissan Pathfinder with the same problem, passenger side. It ticks when i accelerate, especially if in gear. It seems to tick at every RPM, it sounds kinda like a motor cycle. Its gotten louder in the past month. Is that the same as your problem? 95pathfinder 12-28-2003, 09:49 PM Hey, go to search at the top right of the screen and in the "search for posts by a specific user" field type in 95pathfinder and you will find an article in the honda forums about a civic with like 39 posts called "buzzing when acclering". I've posted in there. It addresses the problem we were having. Check out my posts and the replies that came after it. Everything before my first post is useless. 95pathfinder 12-29-2003, 07:55 PM Someone online told me that nissans are noutorious for developing a loose timing chain at about 80 thousand miles. He said that I should install a new timeing chain. My SUV uses dual chains on a V6, a kit is about 140 bucks. It should be an easy do it yourselfer. He said that my tourqe converter is probably bad and that I should take it out and have it rebuilt for about 80 bucks. I hope this helps. bowenlaudenslager 09-10-2004, 11:20 PM I have noticed a faint knocking or ticking sound as well on my 98 durango. I was told by dealer that it was injector noise and was normal. rcs426 09-11-2004, 07:56 AM could be evap. seloniod its mounyed on firewall just above left side of engine and thaht would be normal vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
