I was driving home from work last night and my radio sound, front headlights and half of my dash panel went out? Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong?

I have the exact same problem. I was driving home last night and the radio and heater as well as dash lights cut off and turned back on. After getting gas, the car didn't start (battery was dead). Today pulled the alternater and had it tested, it tests at 15volts normal range is 13-14 volts, I think. Now not sure what to do.

Same problem with me, only it's shutting off the stereo when I shut off the headlights for only a second though

Also, it blew a headlight and fuse to the taillights, I have to disconnect the battery when I shut it off or it goes dead

You got a relay problem or circuit breaker needs replaced.

have you tried the circuit breaker? I had a problem with the fuse for my dash panel and what ever else it runs blowing not sure because it didnt have a radio. the only thing electrical I did was change the battery cables and changed the circuit breakers in the fuse panel. so it had to be one of those two because it hasnt done it for about 8 months now.
I would check the circuit breaker then go for the relays. theyre cheaper.

Turned out to be a defective alternator that was draining power after it was shut off

The alternator puts out amps, and i think T-birds and cars these days usually run like 100 amp alternators right?? well just turning your car on takes a lot of juice. And then running the stereo, heat, blowdryer, pop corn machine and all that is just draining power from the alternator.. Or i mean power that the battery means to give to the alternator.
