can you put corvette tires on a 2K Sierra???

on of my friends came across a set of 16" 250's(wide isn't it?) that are low profile and he's going to give them to me for free, but what i need to know is will they fit on the factory polished allum. wheels??? he says that they're like corvette tire and that they should fit but i don't quite know, but then again my truck has some weird pressure settings??? 28psi front and 32psi rear.
