My 1995 Century's "Service Engine Soon" light came on the other day and now stays on. I went to check for codes with a piece of wire across terminal A - B and found that there is no wire on B. Only terminals with wires on is A - K - M. Is there any other way to check for codes?

Considering the year model involved, it is possible for the vehicle to have the OBDII connector, which is trapezoidal rather than rectangular. If so, it will require a dedicated scanner to pull and erase codes. Ray

My connector is a rectangular 12 pin connector but only three of the of the pins have wires on them.

How did you access your codes? I have the same connector on my 94 Buick Century Custom (A,K,M)
The connector is 12-pin ODB1, but the GM Code Reader (part # 3123) doesn't look like it will read codes for our car. The compatibility chart only covers Century's up to 1993. The front of the reader says ECM A-B too.
