This car is a Rover 25. It is sold in the UK for around Ģ8,000. Incidently, the Rover 75 looks quite similar to the Jaguar S Type as they are both British marques who have a good heritage.

Yes...and it won't happen. Jaguar will not be aligned with MG Rover again anytime soon.

Jaguar has been cheapened enough since the introduction of the S and X type this would be a total loss of tradition

OK guys lets get one thing straight. This guy isn't going to sell his Rover with a Jaguar badge on it. I believe he means that could this car produced by Jaguar? He isn't being stupid, because, as I said before, they are both British marques with loads of classic car heritage. The Rover has a strong, imposing grille, retro styling and chrome in the correct places. When the Rover 75 came out in England everyone thought it was the new Jag.

No Way!

Jaguar build luxury sprts and saloon cars. It would have to be desperate to do something like that. It owuld devalue the cars, and the production line would have to quicken up, producing loss of quality.

It owuld deface jaguar, by breaking down every 5 minutes. Jagaur could never meet the demand of building them, because they would be too popular. ok here we go.

Jaguar releases new Jaguar Hatchback.
Lots of people like the car.
lots of sales.
the producion is limited, so longer waiting lists.
Jaguar are put under pressure to reduce waiting lists.
Other cars are pushed ot the back of the line.
Many people back out.
No Business, Jaguar loses money.
Jaguar gets into debt.
Damn!

In the UK the X-Type 2 litre costs Ģ19,995. If it were to sell in the US it would probably be $19,995.

I think a Jag hatch may look somthing like this:

http://tinypic.com/2lukn5

I just modded a Ford Focus. It is NOT supposed to be a joke, but simply as what I think a Jaguar Hatchback COULD look like. This was a quick 'chop, so it isnt of the highest quality. But if Jaguar were to make one, they would of course differentiate the styling greatly from the Focus. Even if it used the same platform. So don't expect somthing like this to ever, ever see the light of day.
