Worst car you've drivenKatWoman 12-17-2001, 06:13 PM Since we have a "best" thread, now tell us what's your worst. Mine would have to be a Chevy Corsica. No offense to anyone who has one....the ones I drove were all rental cars, so that explains a lot right there. I went thru 3 Corsicas in a month with this one rental company several years ago...the first red Corsica I brought home busted a hose the night I brought it home and leaked all over the garage and stained the floor. I took it back the next morning and the rental people just ripped the plate off it and put it on another red one. 2 weeks later the brakes went out. Once again they ripped the plate off and put it on a 3rd red car...the body creaked and rattled. I was underage at the time so this was the only place I could rent from. MattyG 12-17-2001, 06:19 PM Worst car to drive would have to be my Grandmother's auto 1500cc Corolla...that thing was gutless as. Worst car overall would be my current Prelude: I have had to spend in the last year: $300 new tyres $75 Headlight lens refocused (wtf?) $75 Steering Rack boot replaced. $600 Rust removal $xxx new brake pads all round. $1000 - $1500 blown head gasket. I have also had 2 people hit my car while they were parking and driven off for a combined total of $700. Funny thing is I still like it. Wierd. Polygon 12-17-2001, 07:12 PM I would have to say my friends 1984 Honda Accord. That think what the biggest piece of shit I have even driven. Jimster 12-17-2001, 07:25 PM I don't think you will find a bigger piece of shit than my old Yugo KatWoman 12-17-2001, 08:52 PM Originally posted by Jimmy_11_cars I don't think you will find a bigger piece of shit than my old Yugo LOL you win!:p Tomster 12-19-2001, 12:33 AM I had a Dodge Neon that made me fantasize about a Yugo. taranaki 12-19-2001, 01:32 AM Originally posted by Jimmy_11_cars I don't think you will find a bigger piece of shit than my old Yugo Wow, a real live Yugo here in Godzone!!!!!!!!!!!!Didja bring it in yerself;) 3.5litermoose 12-23-2001, 02:51 PM id have to say an old, beaverwacked(wood trim), slow, sloppy, boring, unluxurious GM station wagon, with a ferocious 3.2 liter inline 6, it still was still lacking in acheiveing any speed, although i guess station wagons are ment to be that way. El Guapo 12-23-2001, 03:18 PM A Daewoo Lanos that I rented when I was in Las Vegas. Gutless wonder. The horn worked only some of the time and I needed to use that horn alot because the brakes were shot and people were cutting me off all of the time. I turned the car in with an empty tank and told the rental company what a P.O.S. it was and they didn't charge me a dime. :D taranaki 12-25-2001, 07:17 AM Austin Princess....Ugly wedge shape p.o.s.,my first car.Given to me by the olds as a leaving home present.B.M.C.transverse engine similar to mini setup ensured I spent plenty of time under the hood, at the wreckers, getting wheel alignments, etc, etc,Handled like sack of potatoes, kept me poor for six months until one day the rear subframe hangers rotted out and the whole back end collapsed in traffic........... R.I.P. - P.O.S.:p S Brake 12-25-2001, 12:52 PM A Gero Metro that my sister was thinking about getting, it was awful. First gear went til about 2.5 mph and didn't enjoy accellerating or braking at all. i'm sooooo glad she didn't get it. KatWoman 12-26-2001, 02:20 PM Originally posted by Tomster I had a Dodge Neon that made me fantasize about a Yugo. What year was yours? I heard the '95s had alo of electrical problems. My '97 has been good to me except when it goes to the shop for services I or my fiance can't do. They always screw up something else that we end up fixing. YogsVR4 12-27-2001, 02:39 PM The worst car I drove that I owned was a 82 Nissan Sentra. That damn car had almost 100 hp and a top speed of 70mph (downhill). I swore I’d never buy a gutless car again and so far I haven’t. The worst car I’ve ever driven was a 87 Camero. What a rattling rusted deathtrap that thing felt like. It felt like it was going to disintegrate going over every little bump. Jimster 12-27-2001, 04:43 PM Originally posted by taranaki Wow, a real live Yugo here in Godzone!!!!!!!!!!!!Didja bring it in yerself;) You might actually find that it is no longer "real live";) but I bought it second hand NZ New in 1992 Jimster 12-27-2001, 04:46 PM Originally posted by taranaki Austin Princess....Ugly wedge shape p.o.s.,my first car.Given to me by the olds as a leaving home present.B.M.C.transverse engine similar to mini setup ensured I spent plenty of time under the hood, at the wreckers, getting wheel alignments, etc, etc,Handled like sack of potatoes, kept me poor for six months until one day the rear subframe hangers rotted out and the whole back end collapsed in traffic........... R.I.P. - P.O.S.:p Really??? I think my mums old s*** brown Allegro would have been worse than that, I remember the feelings of joy I had when the ugly shit bags, springs gave way raw_b75 08-21-2003, 10:41 PM u guys think whatever u want but the worst car ive ever been in (i didnt drive it cuz khan got rid of it before i had to) but it was some old honda civic (auto) that had trouble driving up a hill that my dads taurus flies up. it was gold and the interior smelled really badly of smoke cuz it was smoked in. i remember that every time it drove down our street and parked, it would billow smoke from the cracks between the hood and the body for a good 10 min. anyway khan, if u ever see this, i want to give u all my respect for driving such a car and saving up for ur infinity, if it were me, id have bought a much less cool car much sooner, then id be stuck with two crap cars and no money! btw, is khan how u spell ur name? omicron 08-22-2003, 12:07 AM I drove a 1985 jimmy 4x4. It had some real pos tires, the speedo was off, the steering wheel was almost hanging, when I made left turns, I had to hold the passengers door shut, or it'd swing open. I never knew exactly what gear I was in because the pin was broken. Instead of turning the key we took the starter out and used a clothes hanger to pull the starter. The thing was rusted to shit and felt like it was going to fall apart. Also the doors were hanging down because the shit was bent, so if I left it hanging, the top of the door would be 2 inches lower than the doorline on the truck. It had around 90hp out of it's 2.8 litre v-6. The driver side window was broken and couldn't roll down and the side window in the back was broken out, we used plastic cover and metal tape to fix it. :disappoin http://www.photohost.org/gallery/data/514/172blazer-med.jpg R.I.P you damn truck YogsVR4 08-22-2003, 10:54 AM Guys - please take a look at the threads last posting date before responding. Once they are several months old (or almost a couple years in this ones case), you don't want to bring them back up. Start a new thread if you like on the subject but leave dead threads alone. omicron 08-26-2003, 05:31 AM Well no, it shouldn't work that way, there's no point in making a new thread about the same thing, why do you think that when you post a new topic that has already been done people say, "search next time." Anyway, yeah, I see what ya mean, some topics aren't meant to go on. CARNIGG 08-31-2003, 05:46 PM To date the worst piece of crap I've ever driven was my '95 neon, I loved it and I hated it. Seems that once I drove it from Tenn. back to Cali, she was never the same. :shakehead CARNIGG 08-31-2003, 05:49 PM my bad yogs, just read what you wrote, if i see it I usually just reply if it looks coo.. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
