Engine upgrade questions

I just a 1993 Thunderbird lx about a month ago. I really didnt know anything about Thunderbirds when i purchased it. If i did then I would have bought a super coupe. I cant seem to find any around here much less one for sale. My question is can I buy a supercharger and intercooler of another sc and install it on my stock V6? Any help would be great. Thanks.

is it possible? yes. recommended? no.
the SC engine is a different V6 than your n/a v6. the camshaft is different. different block. diffferent pistons. and several other parts.
while it is physically possible, the engine may not be able to hold up to the boost. there are a couple people that have put the SC blower on their n/a v6. i believe they may have upgraded the internal components, though.
you'd be taking a risk unless you beefed up the engine as well.

Unfortunaly, it would be easier/cheaper to buy a used supercoupe. If you want to find a good example, you may need to do a bit of traveling.
