Our 85 Corvette died while being driven and had to be towed home. The next day my husband removed the coil and distributor, and found the it had hole the size of a nickel, burned in the center of it.The car has a high performance aftermarket distributor cap, rotor and coil and after replacing all three, the car still wont start. We checked the pickup coil, and it has continuity.Any ideas?

Hi Eddyvetter,
thanks for the reply. No it isnt completely dead,it has power to starter and there is power going into the distributor, but nothing coming back out.I guess well check ignition module asap.
Somtimes I swear these cars have a mind of their own.

thanks,
julie
