Means that when oil frezzes and then unfreeze and freeze again loose it ability to really lubricate your engine. Go change it and look for antifreezing aditives. TomGPGT2000 12-10-2003, 03:51 PM so ur sayin i need to get an oil change... and add antifreezing aditives to the oil.. sry bout the question if its stupid but i dont no much about the car... i just dont wana screw it up kilroypr 12-10-2003, 08:45 PM Do not worry. Is not that I am asking you to add coolant to your engine oil. There are OIL ADDITIVES that will prevent the thermal breakdown caused by excesive heat or excesive cold(your case). Do an oil change and make sure the OIL you are adding contains such OIL additives to prevent it to loose the ability to lubricate our engine because if the freezing and unfreezing. Also in JC Whitney they sell electric blanquets so you can warm your engine before firing it up TomGPGT2000 12-11-2003, 11:59 AM ohh ight... i got my oil changed at jiffy lube last night and they said my oil was low... i think my car is burnin oill... is there anyway to stop that or does it just happen... thanks for the info... kilroypr 12-12-2003, 09:07 AM well is normal to burn up to 1qt between changes. but thq qt already is a sign of engine wear. What is the mileage on it? TomGPGT2000 12-13-2003, 05:00 PM 54000 miles... kilroypr 12-13-2003, 09:34 PM That is fearly new. Then it should burn a qt or less between changes. MoshimoGTP 12-14-2003, 03:51 AM Mine was a Idler Pulley kilroypr 12-14-2003, 09:00 AM What you mean by idler pulley? WHat the car was used for? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
