Dodge Caravan 1990 3.0LDavid Hill 12-10-2003, 05:06 AM I recently picked up this Caravan from a local state vehicle auction all it needed was a battery. I drove it home about 30miles,cleaned it up and hosed out the engine compartment, after that it ran but had no exceleration. the next day I can't even get the thing to start. I have a new fuel filter, and I can get it to run briefly using starter fluid. I check the ignition code an I get 12,55 but this is no help!! I could use any sugestion!!! Chavo2005 12-15-2003, 03:54 PM Check your fuel pressure, and the distribitor and rotor button. I had a similar problem with my 89 and the rotor button was bad. EVH5150 12-15-2003, 10:19 PM You might have gotten water in your cap and rotor on your distributor causing it not to start. I made the same mistake, washing the engine compartment. I just had to take the cap off and dry it out with a towel. bob1234 12-27-2003, 10:29 PM I had the same problem bought a vehicle off of a lot had just about the same problems turn out the filter was clogging up all the time becuase the fuel tank was rusted out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
