tires-2.5rs???naylor 12-09-2003, 11:00 PM Hey guys, I just had my first snow day with my 2.5RS, and well I did a '180 and then slid sideways down a hill. Luckily my car is fine, but I need new tires. Right now I have stock wheels, and my tires are 205-55 R16's. I am told I can fit 225's on my car. Does anybody know if this is true?? THANKS MB38 12-10-2003, 01:01 PM I'm going to be perfectly honest here. This is your first snowy day, you're lucky all you did was slide sideways down a hill. I'm entering my third snowy winter now on a rear wheel drive wagon with no weight over the bald all-season tires. I haven't lost control of the car in 2.5 years. Skill has so much more to do with handling than snow tires do. Take the car to a parking lot and learn how to control it before you invest. If you're still set, however, www.tirerack.com naylor 12-10-2003, 11:25 PM Nah I'm use to snow, my last car was RWD and I got use to the snow with good all-season tires. The 2.5RS I just bought came from Florida and has Summer-rated, bald as shit, tires. I just need to get some w/ tread and i should be fine. I'm prolly going w/ Pirelli P6's, 225 55 R 16's any suggestions on All-Season tires??? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
