94 Accord stalls after highway drive5speedisbetter 12-04-2003, 09:39 PM 94 Accord automatic, w 210km/120miles completely rehauled including timing belt, water pump, plugs, et al, is getting into the habit of stalling when I come to a complete stop after a highway drive. 3 times in last 3 months. 1st time , in August, couldn't start after 1 hour. It turns, there is a charge going through, no smell of gas. 2nd time (November) it took 30 minutes to re-start;again no smell of gas. Today, Dec. 4, it took 5 min to re-start. It was frikin cold out today. As it gets colder outside, time to re-start takes shorter. Battery is kicking, electricity is pumping, radio and acc's working. No smell of gaz. I had the "kill switch" disconected just in case wires were corroded. Now looking for alternatives. Fuel pump? Injectors. . . .but all clogged at onece ??? Computer. .(but no fancy lights on the dash) ? Electrical, but new battery and radio and all works fine. Waited 5 minutes, heard it chug and take on gaz and presto. Honda dealer mechanic (errrrr, , , , moronic), claims it could be anything. Any suggestions ? JakeDrummer 12-05-2003, 12:45 AM i know there is a problem with honda being hard to restart, and i think its the coil that causes it, but with it just stalling like that i wouldn't know. maybe its a fuel delivery problem along with a bad coil. sorry i can't help more vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
