what is a good engine to get for a 92-95 civicIntegraBoy2003 12-04-2003, 05:52 PM i fianly got some cash to blow on an Engine, now what kind should I get can anyone help me civic15.8 12-04-2003, 06:15 PM get a b18c1 motor it will be worth it got v-tec? 12-04-2003, 09:24 PM get a b18c1 motor it will be worth it agreed IntegraBoy2003 12-05-2003, 12:48 AM where is a good place to obtain one? MexSiR 12-05-2003, 01:02 AM I would get a b18c5 Integra Type R motor, that motor rocks if you want to go NA, but its expensive. (195 hp 1.8l, 8400 red) The B16A1 is a good engine and is cheap, the B16A2 same power just minor differences, hydraulic, those are good engines. Ricochet 12-05-2003, 01:20 AM Get a B16... they're the best bang for the buck no matter how common they are. btw an Integra Type R motor costs $5k to $6k, I doubt you can afford that. IntegraBoy2003 12-05-2003, 01:24 AM i have 6 grand from what happended to my bro, in Iraq?? what should I get???? JDMsweetz 12-05-2003, 12:06 PM Get a B16... they're the best bang for the buck no matter how common they are. btw an Integra Type R motor costs $5k to $6k, I doubt you can afford that. False. My BF sells JDM B18C[R] for $4400 shipped..could be $4300 depending on how quick you need it because it's shipped from Japan. As for all of the oter posts, I agree but you should figure out first if you wanna stay naturally aspirated or do you wanna turbo it eventually...? jdmsource403 12-05-2003, 02:08 PM the b18c5 is a good motor but the b18c1 is also a good motor for less money!! i can give you the b18c5 for $4000 and the b18c1 for $2850, shipped from japan with under 50 000 km and start up warranty!! pm if intertesed!! Ricochet 12-05-2003, 02:57 PM For $6k I'd buy either an LS engine or GSR and turbo whichever one you get rather than blow all your money for 200hp. Dweezil6969 12-05-2003, 11:30 PM CRVTEC Turbo, or stroker b18c1 turbo integra818 12-06-2003, 01:52 AM Everyone has a difernet opinion on which engine is good. So find out the good & bad things from each engine and you can decide for yourself which engine is good. If I were you and I had the money, I'd get a K20A2. But if you can't afford that, then I suggest a B18c1. :) Smokn91HB 01-23-2004, 12:56 PM i always thought tha t the GSR was the b18c5 and typr r was c1..... Ricochet 01-23-2004, 01:18 PM i always thought tha t the GSR was the b18c5 and typr r was c1..... you thought wrong unusualcivic 01-23-2004, 04:51 PM :owned: Thepeug 01-23-2004, 05:15 PM I agree with Integra818: K20A2. Substantial torque and hp, plus the benefits of a brand new engine. And a rather unique swap. 92acuraattack 01-23-2004, 08:32 PM hmmm K20A2 + 92-95 civic = NO prob be more than $6000 just for the engine MastaCivic 01-23-2004, 08:45 PM Alot more aftermarket parts for b-series engines also which = less money and more goodies. Thepeug 01-23-2004, 09:09 PM hmmm K20A2 + 92-95 civic = NO prob be more than $6000 just for the engine A B-series is cheaper and has better aftermarket support, but there is still plenty of support for the new K-series engines. Yes, the engine does cost about $6000, but add bolt-ons and you've got a powerful, damn reliable (considering that it's new) engine in a car that only weighs 2100-2300 lbs (depending on the model). A K20A2 into a 5th-gen is very feasible. Hasport just came out with mounts for the swap. Granted, it's not the most practical swap, but you'd have something that is (at least) unique. YOUNGSTER 01-23-2004, 10:57 PM get a b20 block 750 b16 head 200 ls tranny 200 (freind selling his thats why ) this a turbo kit 3400 rev hard will b16 ecu 75 bucks add up nice real nice hondata s200 labor ? with boost option 450 the prices vary on if you have connects i do so thats why there pretty low you could be rolling hard if you spend your money right Thepeug 01-24-2004, 09:23 AM this a turbo kit 3400 rev hard will English, please. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
